All our control panels are designed, built and tested in accordance with the highest industry standards. Every control panel is verified against our internal test criteria, the applicable regulations and the associated design documentation/specification. 

Control Panel Design

Design is a crucial stage in the process of manufacturing control panels. The design phase evaluates multiple factors for your bespoke control panel, meaning that before a control panel design can be released to our workshop, it is subjected to a thorough evaluation that considers:

  1. Operational Environment: We take into account the unique conditions in which the control panel will operate. Whether it’s a factory floor with varying temperature ranges or a clean room with stringent contamination control, our designs are tailored to meet specific environmental demands.

  2. Client Build Specifications: We work closely with our clients to ensure that the control panel aligns perfectly with their build specifications. This collaborative approach guarantees that the end product seamlessly integrates into their systems.
  3. Site Cabling and Glanding Requirements: We pay thorough attention to site cabling schematics and glanding specifications to ensure a smooth and efficient electrical connection.
  4. Electromagnetic Compatibility: In applications sensitive to electromagnetic interference, our control panels are manufactured to meet Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) requirements, guaranteeing uninterrupted operation.
  5. Safety Specifications: Our control panels are engineered to provide the highest level of safety and reliability, meeting and exceeding client-specified protection standards.
  6. Cable Segregation: Effective cable segregation is vital for safety and performance. Our designs ensure that cables are separated effectively to prevent interference.
  7. IP Rating: Ingress Protection (IP) ratings are vital for applications where exposure to dust, moisture, or other elements is a concern. We consider the IP rating required for each panel to guarantee durability and longevity.
  8. Client Safety Specifications: Our control panels are engineered to provide the highest level of safety and reliability, meeting and exceeding client-specified protection standards.
Panel Features

Our control panels are available in various configurations, including:

  • Mild Steel/Stainless Steel: We offer panels in both mild steel and stainless steel, catering to various environmental and operational demands.
  • Standard or Bespoke: Our flexibility allows us to create both standard and bespoke control panels, ensuring that they precisely meet your project’s requirements.
  • Wall Mount or Floor Standing: You can choose between wall-mounted or floor-standing configurations based on your installation needs.
  • Top or Bottom Cable Entry: We offer control panels with both top and bottom cable entry options to facilitate easy cable connection.
  • Front or Rear Access: Depending on the accessibility requirements, our panels can feature either front or rear access, ensuring easy maintenance.
  • Conventional and Intelligent MCCs: We provide both conventional and intelligent Motor Control Centers (MCCs) to accommodate diverse applications.
  • Form 1 to Form 4: Forms 1 to 4 are indicators of the level of internal segregation within the panels, guaranteeing that functional components, connections, and busbars are suitably isolated to fulfil particular standards. Read more about the forms available below.
     

Form 1:

Form 1 control panels have no internal separation for functional units or terminations. Busbars are not separated from the functional units. Functional units are not separated from other functional units. Functional Units are not separated from any incoming or outgoing termination. Busbars are not separated from any incoming or outgoing terminations.

Form 2:

Form 2 control panels have internal separation of the busbars from functional units. Busbars are separated from functional units. Functional units are not separated from other functional units. Functional Units are separated from any incoming or outgoing termination. Busbars are not separated from any incoming or outgoing terminations. There are various Form 2 Control Panels: Form 2a, Form 2 Type 1, Form 2 Type 2.

Form 3:

Form 3 control panels have internal separation of the busbars from functional units and separation of all functional units from each other. Busbars are separated from functional units. Functional units are separated from each other. Functional units are separated from incoming and outgoing terminals. Incoming and outgoing terminals are not separated from each other. There are various Form 3 Control Panels: Form 3a, Form 3b Type 1, Form 3b Type 2.

Form 4:

Form 4 control panels have internal separation of the busbar system from functional units, and separation of all functional units from each other. Incoming and outgoing terminals are also required to be separated from the busbars and from each other. Busbars are separated from functional units. Functional units are separated from each other. Terminations to functional units are separated from each other. There are many different types of Form 4 Control Panels: Form 4a Type 1, Form 4a Type 2, Form 4a Type 3, Form 4b Type 4, Form 4b Type 5, Form4b Type 6, Form4b Type 7
